Halloween is Here!
The origins of the scariest celebration of the year
Halloween is one of the “scariest” and funniest celebration in the world. This tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain; in that occasion, people used to wear costumes and light bonfires in order to ward off ghosts and evil spirits. In the XVIII century, Pope Gregory III designed November the 1st as the day to honor the saints. That day, “All Saints Day”, incoroprated some of the celtic traditions, making the evening before know as “All Hallow Day”, and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns and eating treats; a party that both adults and younger people enjoy, to turn themselves into vampires, demons, zombies and other dark creatures for one enjoyable night.
